Friends Of Elcho Park Inc

Friends Of Elcho Park Inc (FOEP) is a joint venture between Corio & Moorabool Pony Club and Westcoast Adult Riding Club to enhance and encourage the use of the Elcho park Equestrian Centre for horse related activities.

FOEP is affiliated with the Horse Riding Clubs Association Of Victoria (HRCAV), is incorporated and is based at Elcho Park Equestrian Centre, Corner of Bacchus Marsh and Elcho Roads, Lara.

FOEP was created in 2008 to manage construction of the new clubroom facility for the two resident clubs (for full club details and contact information please see the Clubs page) and to manage the ground improvements and usage. The FOEP committee consists of an equal representation from both resident clubs and a presiding Chairperson.

Elcho Park
Elcho Park is a City Of Greater Geelong council owned reserve, is 30 hectares in size and is ideally set up for horse riding, see The Grounds page for details. The grounds are continually being upgraded, a magnificent new double story clubroom facility has been constructed and is now in use for club rallies and competitions.

The grounds are open to the public for use at all times with the exception of Club rallies and competitions. Please check the Calendar page for grounds availability.

Corio and Moorabool Pony Club

Corio and Moorabool Pony Club (CMPC) was established in 1960 and affiliated with Pony Club Victoria in 1961 and runs under the rules and guideline of PCAV. Rallies are held at Elcho Park on the 1st Sunday of the month other than January with instruction in dressage, show jumping, cross country, flat and general riding skills. Certificates along the journey of a Pony Club member extends their knowledge in aspects of horsemanship, riding disciplines and care & ownership of horses.

Our membership age ranges from little tots of 5 years old to 25 years. We encourage young people to enjoying every minute with their four legged friends and riders and ponies can learn together in a caring and fun environment.

Attending a "Come and Try" rally is welcome and new members can enquire through our website, email or message through our Facebook page.

Westcoast Adult Riding Club 

WARC is an official HRCAV member club. Based in Lara, the club provides high quality instruction is a friendly environment which is aimed at allowing all members, regardless of level of skill and experience reach their riding goals.

We hold monthly rallies, and regular clinics, and host at least four official HRCAV events annually, including dressage, show Jumping, horse trials and showing. Our club is based at the Elcho Park Equestrian Centre.
